This weekend I have the honor and privilege to attend my first Ladies who brunch event in ATL! I will say I had a fabulous time. It was super.. What was exciting to me was the LOVE that was in the room! Now, granted I am a different breed (I talk to EVERYONE & ALL THE TIME) ! I enjoyed the experience and it made me want to push even harder for KylaNicole! I am a person that loves to be in the midst of positive and good energy. I watched the people at the event, the planners, host, and the organizers and I truly was so impressed. I was able to see women doing thier thang and doing it well. They never broke down or out (or didn’t let the people see it) they were cordial and nice (even in high stress moments) they served the people as though they HAD to (they don’t) and they were present. When I say present, i mean engaged mentally and emotionally. You could tell that they were passionate about the event and it’s mission. It was not just about the dollars. How do I know this? Here’s how, if you don’t know – I have worked plenty of these events, created and organized my own events, and been around numerous of influential individuals and celebs in the entertainment world. There is ALWAYS a difference between passion, purpose, and planning opposed to partying and perpetrating. Understand that the amount of work that goes into planning an event is HUGE and from the outside looking in for the first conference things went well, maybe not as they planned it went well. No need to embelish or write fancy words. Just giving, credit where credit is due. I can’t wait to have one for KylaNicole – and I hope to have those ladies come through!
